Too lazy to fight for your rights?

We live in an age where we can communicate instantly with anyone, anywhere at any time.
We can write or make videos of what we want and post it and have it shared with many people all around the world.
These means have allowed us to spread truths about what governments are doing to the population of the planet as well as bring to light the lies our governments are spreading to us as well.
But with all this technology, which is good, there is a bad side as well. This technology has basically killed the protests of the 1960’s in the western world.
In the ‘60’s people would gather in the thousands or more to stand up for what they believed in, to fight for their rights, to simply be heard and force the government to listen.
Now however, we write blogs, make videos and make online radio and video shows and post our complaints on the internet. These are great things to do, but it has made us lazy. We know that people read and watch us, they share what we post, but it ends there; and the government loves that we merely keep it online, rather than bring it to their door.
The time has come to get out of our homes, to leave our comfort zones and protest. (Peacefully).
It is time to hold our governments accountable. We have to realise and recognize that little by little the roles of government and citizens have been reversed. The Government is to listen and work for us. They are to do as we say. But over time, we have become lazy and allowed the government to take over and control us; we have let them run our lives. That has to change. We the people, we elect them and we are to tell them what we want and they are to do it. Not the other way around, what is happening now is that they pass bills, legislation etc. and are now forcing us to abide by it and do as they tell us too…or else.
The people we elect by vote are hired by us, therefore they can be fired by us…this is the way it is, and somewhere down the line, and through the years we have become lazy and forgotten this. And those who are in power now, they love having it this way. They make a lot of money, living like kings and queens, becoming richer every day on the blood, sweat and tears of those who voted for them…and they are laughing at us, mocking us the whole while they see their riches grow.

The End Times; Prophecy becomes Reality

Be ready and prepare yourselves for we are in the end days

What more do we need to see before we realize that we are in the end days.
I am not talking about December 12, 2012. I am talking about the end days as written in the Bible.
We can see by the events that are occurring on a daily basis that we indeed have been given many signs that we definitely do not have much time left.
God has been gracious and very patient with us, but a time will come when He will no longer allow mankind to go about his own business. The evil ways of man will be his destruction.
We do not know the exact hour when this will happen, but we are given signs. We need to open our eyes and accept that fact.
Matthew 24:36
New International Version
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Mark 24:42
New International Version
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

Many of the things; maybe all the things that are written are happening now. The bible is the undeniable word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
New International Version
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
The verses that continually come up are these, from Matthew 24: 37-39 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.There were many parties, merry-making, people were doing whatever they wanted, not giving God even a second of thought. They were facing death, and none were aware, all because self-gratification, pleasure of the flesh was all they were focused on.
We can see that everything written in the Bible is happening. Nothing is left out, everything that we were warned about is indeed happening now. Yet there are those who can not see it, refuse to accept it or making excuses as to why it is happening and some are merely brushing it off as being hype. There are many also who believe that humans are Gods, and they make their own destiny.
Read the next verses and you can see that the Bible is the word of God and has shown us what today is like, and we were warned over two-thousand years ago.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
New International Version
1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

We are indeed equipped for a day such as this, God has given His weapon which is His word. He has given us His Son, who will go before us and with us into battle. We need to trust Him and place our life in His hand.
Romans 8:31
New International Version
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Remember that through Jesus, we can overcome all things. For He has given us the authority.
Luke 10:19
New International Version
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
If you have not done so, give your life to Jesus. Allow Him to take charge of your life and bring you to full salvation. Heaven and hell are real, Jesus wants you to live with Him in eternity. He can and He will heal you, comfort you and save you, if you let Him.
John 3:16
New International Version
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 8:36
New International Version
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Prepare yourself, be ever watchful, trust in the Lord, Jesus is real and is coming back—soon.
I will end with this:
Matthew 25 New International Version
The Parable of the Ten Virgins
“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ 7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ 9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. 11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ 12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’ 13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

A word for you

Since the creation of mankind, we have been given chance after chance; opportunity after opportunity to do the right thing, to make the right choice, to transform our bad behaviour into good behaviour.
Like it says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
But do we take the God-given opportunity and turn from our evil ways? No we do not, we continue on our chosen path of destruction, the path that harms others, our planet and inevitably ourselves.
Why do we live a life of self-destruction? Why do we continue to live this way? We see what it does, we know that we are hurting our environment, our neighbours, family friends and so on, we know we are hurting ourselves. Why do we do it?
I believe that it is based on the idea of pleasing one self and greed. Doing whatever one wants, as long as it brings self-gratification in that moment and/or riches as well.
I
n the following scriptures we read 1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
Proverbs 28:25
A greedy man stirs up strife, but the one who trusts in the Lord will be enriched.
Here we can easily see why the downfall of modern politics have taken place. Over the past decade we have seen the invasions of two countries due to the lust for oil of another nation and we see the beginnings of more wars for the same reason. The lust that a nation has for another nations resources is what is causing such heartache, pain and misery.

Politicians are turning their backs on their countries forefathers and more importantly turning their backs on God and without morals will send their children to die on other nations soil so that they can rape the land of its riches and line their own pockets.
Satan is at the root of all this sin, he was there in the garden where he lied and convinced Adam and Eve that it would be ok to eat from the tree. He lied, twisting Gods words and offering Eve something that he knew she could not resist. Her greed caused her to sin.
Genesis 3:44 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Many live the way as I have written, and we know living in such a way will lead to death, physical and spiritually. It says in Galatians 5:19-2119 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
So we clearly know that we must abstain from these things.

Whether we are aware or not, even if we try to live holy lives, there are people sent to lead us astray. We must constantly watch. We must watch out for ourselves as well as for our brothers and sisters. Jude 1:4For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
We must always check ourselves, our motives and our desires. Colossians 3:5Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
This world is in trouble, there will be multitudes who will spiritually die. We are in the end times, we can see it. The days of Noah are upon us. No one will know the exact day or time, that is why we must be ready. But as it was before the flood, so it is now. Mathew 24: 36-44 36 “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
For you who are not followers of Christ; whether you were once and have walked away or if you never were, you have hope.

1 John 1:9“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
and again in 2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
These things that are happening and the things are are going to happen are all supposed to happen. They are written in the Bible, God knew when He created us that it would turn out this way. But that does not mean that we throw in the towel and give up. It does not mean that we invade others, killing the people and steal their resources. We are still to live according to Gods word, to love one another.

I will finish with this from Mark 12:28-31

The Greatest Commandment

28One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”

29“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

Healthy foods or low cost food; what can you afford?

ByThomas H Czech, December 11, 2011

Food, we all need it to live, to survive. However, most people in these days of financial breakdown in the United States and in Europe are struggling to make ends meet. Canada is one of the most stable and powerful nations in the world with the most stable economies next to China. Nonetheless there are many people who struggle to put healthy food on their plates as the great divide, the gap between the haves and have not’s is widening here in Canada as well.
When I receive the sales flyers I go through them and plan my grocery shopping accordingly, but I see sales that are not sales. The prices are ridiculous!
I hear members of our government and doctors as well as teachers and health advocates preach about the state of our nations health, such as the obesity rates, rate in the increase in diabetes etc. and yet nothing is done about the cost of healthy food.
I find it ridiculous to be paying $4.37 for four litres of milk when the dairy farm is right here in our area. That price is the lowest; other brands are higher in cost. The price of low cost bread is around $1.97 a loaf. These prices are completely unjust as far as I and others are concerned.
The cost of fruit and vegetables are even worse compared to unhealthy foods.
So what do people do if they only have a limited amount of money? They will go for products that go farther on their dollar; which are the unhealthy foods.
I am someone who is a strong believer in healthy eating; I push for vegetables, fruit, whole grain breads etc. I don’t buy pop, chips or the like. But there are many who cannot afford to buy the right kind of food.
I have gone through the flyers and the various stores in my community and seen the prices, I have also seen people who are very over weight and glanced into their shopping carts, which had low cost unhealthy processed garbage in them.
A couple with children were going through an isle, “Can we have salad today?” one member of the family asked, “No, it is too expensive.” The other replied. That is sad.
One can argue and say that one should not put a price on health, which is true. But when the argument is about having food in ones stomach for the entire month VS having healthy food for only half the month then what do you think they will go for?
When one adds all expenses such as heat, hydro, rent, groceries, clothing etc. well the dollar doesn’t go very far.
I am a firm believer in action, in the people of the country standing up and saying, “Enough is enough!” The government which we have elected needs to start working for us and regulating the cost of the products which we consume. If we want a nation which is strong and healthy then we need to lower the cost of healthy and nutritious food and raise the cost and tax on the unhealthy and fast foods.
People in power who complain about people’s health and the rate at which our health care costs are rising due to an unhealthy population and do nothing are hypocrites. If we were to have low cost or affordable healthy food for the population then the strain on our health care would eventually be reduced. One other thing, which should happen, is the cost of entering and playing sports needs to be cut as well. Exercise is crucial as well. There are many people (Children and adults) who would love to take part in sports but who can’t afford it. But that is another topic for a later time.

So here we have it; if our government really wants our citizens to eat healthy and be healthy and if they want to lessen the strain on our health care system then they WOULD do everything in their power to lower the cost on healthy foods.
For when the healthy foods are more affordable than the unhealthy foods, that is when the population will reach for and consume the healthy VS the unhealthy, that is when we WILL see the citizens of this nation become healthy and we WILL see the strain on our health care systems reduced—over time.
We will have a population that is healthier, more energetic and happier!

Points on how a government can reduce the cost of healthy foods:

  • Increase taxes on fast food purchased from fast food restaurants (fast food is not a necessity)
  • Increase taxes on junk food (chocolate bars, chips, pop etc.)
  • Increase taxes on tobacco and tobacco products
  • Increase taxes on alcohol
  • Take the extra taxes now and give the money to farmers so that they can lower the cost of their produce.
  • Allow and encourage farmers to sell their products (i.e. eggs, milk, meats, fruit, vegetables) directly from their farms. This will cut the costs of the products as there will not be a shipping cost added and no middle man and/or a store mark-up.
  • And remember to buy local and plant a garden, no matter how small if possible. Even a few pots with vegetable plants in them set on a balcony make a difference.
  • Also write your member of Parliament letting them know that you want him/her to take action and to voice your complaint to parliament, they are supposed to be the voice of the people. You may even send them this blog.

Nobody told me there’d be days like these

The great Canadian YARD SALE

People are certainly a curios creature. The best way to experience these creatures (other than going to Timmies) is by hosting a yard sale, or as in my case, a moving sale.

I love people watching and also speaking with new and interesting people. I even love to haggle in price, whether I am in a foreign country buying something or when I am selling something at a yard sale. I enjoy the back and forth verbal battle.

What I found most interesting is when I was selling something which is ordinarily close to three hundred dollars new in a store, but I was asking $50 dollars or best offer at my moving sale, as this item is still in great shape and certainly worth what I’m asking, but then someone pulled out a ten dollar bill and asks “Will you take 10?”  Well I looked at this man and burst into laughter, I seriously thought he was kidding around, making a joke. I suppose I offended him as he quickly walked away.
Most people are great though; I enjoyed a lot of laughs and had some interesting conversations with some very intelligent people. I even had a chance to speak about something which I love talking about—politics–local and foreign. Especially the U.S. and their ridiculous foreign policies…get me started on them and you will find out real quick where I stand.

But I digress, back to yard sales, an event where you meet many different people.

I even had a couple of thieves at my sales, you may not believe it but I did.

A woman stole a 25-cent item, took it into her Escalade, yes her Escalade and drove off. I was, for the first time in a long time, speechless.

Another time a thief wanted a lamp, the lamp had no lampshade but another one did, “Can I take the shade off that one and put it on this one?” she asked. I explained that I could if I bring the price up. She walked off, then came back and took the lampshade off the other, put it on the lamp she bought and went away. I did not see her until she was getting in her car with it.

Thieves, they are everywhere, even at yard sales. People without morals or ethics, slithering around like serpents waiting to strike.

One last example of these snakes coming to yard sales is this; a couple was looking at something they wanted which my son was in charge of, they did not get the answer they wanted I suppose, I don’t remember and that is not important. But they called my son a nasty word, a word I have never used and will never. A degrading word to say the least.
Anyway, aside from these stupid people, most were very nice. Some that haggled and others who did not. But most were very pleasant, polite and courteous. People I would not mind seeing again. Others whom I wish never to see again.
Some of the nicest moments I had was having conversations with elderly ladies and gentlemen dressed in their Sunday best who talked to me about what it was like growing up in the valley. I am not from here so I enjoy the history lessons.
I heard everything from how logs were skidded out of the bush with teams of horses; log floats on the river and about how some people would come into town on the train. I even heard how adults and children would be outside on the coldest days on the frozen lakes and rivers to skate. I never experienced these things as I grew up in warm climates. Some of these people could tell me their stories in such a vivid manner that I could picture in my mind how it was back then.
Yes, the yard sale is more than a place where we buy things we want or need; or are trying to get rid of things which have been gathering dust in our basement; but more than this, it is a place where people go to socialize. This is certainly something I hope will never change or end; it is a right of passage of being Canadian. Something we do with family and friends, it is fun for people of all ages and one of the earliest ways of recycling!
And children can find treasures just at the next driveway!

Oh by the way, that item which I tried to sell which a man offered me ten dollars for, I did get what I wanted for it, after a little back and forth verbal battle which the buyer and I certainly enjoyed! And we both happily sealed the deal with a firm handshake…Only in Canada, Eh? Now time for a Timmies Double-Double…Cheers!

Take Up Arms; Governments Will Fall

Turbulence, distress, sleepless night,

Can no longer distinguish between wrong from right;

Hearts breaking, eyes weeping minds can not comprehend,

What has this world come to? I can no longer pretend;

Streets are flooded with people fed up,

Eager to fight the system, ready or not;

Governments, politicians stealing from everyone,

Invading nations out of greed one by one;

The world we once knew now long gone,

Can someone tell me where we went wrong?

I want this, I want that,

I have the right, they owe me that;

Look out for number one, I look out for me,

I don’t care about anyone but me;

Greed, corruption, scandals and such,

Take whatever you want, take as much;

Destroy; kill, whatever it takes,

Why not ? You are the bigger bully for goodness sakes;

No one will stop you, am I right?

Aha, but when they’ve had enough they’ll take up arms and they will fight;

The world now in turmoil, homeless, starvation, destruction and wars,

The world is in chaos, people fed up and fighting back more and more;

Peace, jobs, food and homes,

This is what we want, and they feel it deep within their bones;

Corrupt politicians, governments filled with greed,

They will be overthrown; you all better take heed;

Everyone’s fed up, everyone in every land,

And everyone’s ready to fight back, hand in hand.

LIFE

Twists an turns on the road of life,
peaks and valleys, joy and strife.
One goes on without a care,
until you lose your grip, then beware.
One moment you have it all,
then without warning you begin to fall.
Life begins to slip, and slip away,
and you know there is nothing anyone can say.
You fall and fall down into the dark chasm of despair,
when you stop you notice you’re alone, no one else is there.
You get up and brush off the dirt an dust,
and look around and smell the must.
You see a hand reaching down from high above,
you grab hold and feel the love.
He pulls you up until you reach the light,
you see the face of Jesus so clear and bright.
He smiles a warm smile and holds you tight,
You then understand you will be…alright.

Time for Uncommon sense

Thomas H. Czech
Uncommon sense means a rare, different and beautiful form of thought and understanding.

To have commonsense is to have the same sense as the majority of the population where you live. To think and believe that what is normal is what the majority of the people around you think, do and behave like. Not to think outside the box.
I believe that uncommon sense; however, is the way to go, to think for ones self, to question the media and not believe what the mass media is telling us. Think outside the box, and by all means, think for yourself.
When we look at the history of humanity, we see that people for hundreds of years, if not thousands, have done what the masses have done and behaved in the same way. This is why we have repeated the same mistakes, wars over land and resources have been fought repeatedly, thus having killed hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children, and destroyed  and polluted an immeasurable amount of land and oceans.
We see this today, the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq are no different from any invasion of one country by another in the past, which can be summed up in one word—greed!
I am looking at humanity now with uncommon sense; I look at it from an outside-of-the-box point of view. Why would I believe what the Governments of the world and the mass media tell me? I, as a human being have the right and freedom to question everything and think for myself.
If we want to prevent wars, oil spills and mining disasters as well as the continuation of mass deaths due to starvation and disease, then we need to have uncommon sense and not follow the masses, otherwise we will make the same mistakes which we have been making for hundreds of years.
Commonsense is not always sensible and it most certainly is not always intelligent thought. So let us open our minds and allow freethinking, so what if we come across somewhat eccentric?
Is eccentricity abnormal? Or is it normal and the rest of the population is abnormal? Where would we be without eccentric people? Without people who are using uncommon sense? People like Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Alexander Graham Bell to name only a fraction of people who did not think as common man did. These people thought for themselves and made changes to humanity, which we would not have if they followed the crowds.
It is time to raise up a culture of uncommon sense, a population which do not let others do the thinking for them. Let us be the new thinkers of this era and teach others to become and do the same. Use Uncommon Sense!

Goodbye

I used to soar like an eagle, once upon a time,
I would glide about all day long, doing just fine,
Then one day I realized, life had flown on by,
somewhere along the way, I forgot to even try,
What did happen? How could this be?
I suppose no one really knows, this is life, and now it’s me,
The air currents are gone, I cannot glide anymore, so my wings I flap real hard
but the strength is gone, so down I go, I know I’ll hit the ground real hard,
Here it comes, faster and faster, oh My God what do I do?
There is nothing, it’s too late, my life is over I am through,
I close my eyes, it all turns black, my breath is almost gone,
Strength drains from my body, anytime now it’ll be over, it won’t be long,
Good bye sweet world, I say goodbye,
Do not shed a tear for me, do not whimper a single a cry.
…Goodbye.

This poem is a poem about how one feels after loss. It is not a literal, physical death, but a feeling of death on the inside. It is not to be taken literally, it is merely an allegory. I write because for me it is therapeutic, this is how I came up with this one. It is after dealing with loss.
Thanks for reading,
Thomas
